Getting started
Sign in and open your books
You reach the right set of books, know whether your work is saved, and can pull in changes made elsewhere.
- Who this is for
- Anyone with an invitation to a Qetaab company.
- Before you start
- An invitation accepted with the email address it was sent to.
- A current browser with internet access; the hosted app needs a connection to read or change the books.
- Availability
- Hosted app only. The local build keeps books in the browser and has no sign-in.
Steps
- Open qetaab.com/app and choose Sign in to Qetaab. Sign in with the same email address your invitation was sent to — the invitation link alone lets nobody in.
- If you belong to more than one company, use the company selector at the top of the sidebar to switch. On a phone the same switcher sits in the bar above the page.
- Watch the line under Ledger integrity at the bottom of the sidebar: Saving…, ✓ Saved to server, or a red ✕ with the reason a save failed. A failed save stays red until a save succeeds.
- Choose Refresh at the right of the toolbar to pull anything posted elsewhere and recompute every figure from the journal. Its tooltip tells you when the figures on screen were computed.
- Choose Sign out under the save line when you are done on a shared machine.
What you should see
The dashboard opens on the selected company and the save line reads Saved to server.
If it goes wrong
If Refresh reports “Could not reach the server. Showing what this browser has.”, the figures on screen are the last copy this browser loaded. Wait for the connection to return, then Refresh again; do not re-enter work you have already posted. If the save line shows a red ✕, fix the reason it names (usually a period lock or a lost connection) before continuing.
