Invoices & bills
Send an invoice or share a link
The customer receives the invoice by email, by a shared link, or as a PDF you send yourself, and you can prepare a reminder when it falls overdue.
- Who this is for
- Owner, admin or bookkeeper.
- Before you start
- A posted invoice.
- The customer’s email address, for Send.
- Availability
- Emailed invoices and the view link are hosted features and count toward the plan’s emailed-invoice allowance (see Settings → Plan & usage). Online payment collection is not available in the pilot. The local build offers Download PDF only.
Steps
- Open Invoices and find the invoice. Choose Download PDF to send it any way you like; this always works.
- Choose Send to review To, Subject and Message, then Send invoice. The row’s Sent column records delivery once the email goes.
- Choose Link to copy the view link. Anyone with the link can view the invoice, so share it only with the customer.
- For an open invoice past its due date, choose Remind, review the wording and choose Copy reminder to paste it into your own email. Nothing is sent or saved to delivery history from this screen.
- Settings & Close → Sales & invoices → Invoicing & payments lists the emails that went out.
What you should see
The customer has the invoice and the Sent column shows when it was delivered.
If it goes wrong
If Send reports that email could not be sent, the email service is not configured for your account; use Download PDF or Link instead. A copied link does not collect payment during the pilot.
